Another day, another frustrating situation. I swear, I just bought/got/acquired a new door mechanism last month and now I'm barred in my own house! I've tried every trick I know. The spare set of keys is, of course, lost. I even checked nearby for a possible entry point, but no luck. At this point, I'm just fuming/frustrated/aggravated. Maybe it's time to invest in a professional locksmith...
Dude! Keys Inside, Car Outside! ????
Okay, this just happened to me today. I was parking back to my car after hitting the gym and realized that I left my keys inside! My mouth dropped because, you know, the car were all closed. It was a complete nightmare!
- I attempted to open the window, but it was a bust.
- Afterward, I had to call a locksmith which was expensive.
So yeah, take it from me, always double-check your keys before you walk away!
Help! I Locked Myself Out!
It happened so fast. I was/I had been/I'd been getting the mail and just for a second/momentarily/in a flash, I completely forgot about my keys . Now, here I am / I'm stuck / I'm trapped outside with no way in . My phone is running low on battery, and I don't have a spare key/my spare key is somewhere safe at home/nobody else knows where it is. What am I going to do?!
- Is there a way to pick the lock myself?
- I'm so frustrated!
Maybe I should just wait it out until someone comes home/my roommate gets back/I can call a friend. But locked my keys in the trunk what if that takes forever?
Key Crisis!
So, you've found yourself with your car keys. Stay calm. This can feel like a total disaster. First things first, check all the usual spots - your purse, on the kitchen counter, or maybe even in that pile you haven't touched in months. If they're nowhere to be found, it's time to figure things out.
- Reach out to a professional. It might seem like the costliest route, but sometimes it's the easiest way to get back on the road.
- Give your dealership a ring. They may be able to provide you with a spare key or at least point you in the correct path.
- Review your insurance documents. You might be surprised to discover that your policy covers key replacement.
Oh No, My Keys Are in the Car!
That is simply the worst feeling in the world! You're getting ready to head somewhere, and you suddenly remember that your keys are in your car. You start to panic. What are you going to do??
You could attempt to pick the lock, but those options aren't always successful.
This is where it truly helps to be prepared. Maybe you could consider getting a spare key made.
In the meantime, take a deep breath and try to stay calm.
Uh Oh, Locked Keys in the Vehicle! ????
OMG, disaster ! It appears you've/we've/I've locked our/my/the keys inside the car/truck/vehicle. Now what? What to do? How will we get in?!. Don't panic, though! There might be a way to get in/to get them out/to rescue ourselves. First, check if any windows are slightly open. {Maybe you can reach through and grab the keys? Maybe not! If that doesn't work, maybe you have a spare key somewhere? Check your pockets/Look under seats/Call a family member. If all else fails, it might be time to call a locksmith/roadside assistance.
